I'll Be In My Camper Down By The Lake
Let’s pick up where I last left off…
After teaching the spiritual wellness workshop at Unity of Savannah I was feeling fantastic. It was the first time I’d taught my Aaaaah Method in-person.
See, I developed my method during the pandemic. So, I taught my workshop countless times online to various groups including the Alzheimer’s Association, Rape Crisis Center, New Thought churches, and support groups for kids. The Aaaaah Method works for all ages and backgrounds.
Each experience is always a blessing for me, and getting to teach live was a thrill!
The day after, Rev. Dale from UoS sent a message to call him asap. When we spoke, he told me that he wanted me to teach the Aaaaah Method at the big Unity retreat happening in September at gorgeous Lake Junaluska, NC.
This was a huge deal because it's UMMAS, which stands for Unity Ministers of Mid-Atlantic States, and Rev D planned to pitch me to the board in a few days. I sent him descriptions of my workshop and my bio that detailed out how Josh and I work together with Miracle Lab.
Fun fact: Seven years ago, Josh and I sold our kayaks so we could attend this same retreat.
And it was worth it, we LOVED the retreat’s spiritual energy. I even dreamed of being a keynote presenter one day. But it turns out, presenters are only Unity ministers. That didn’t change the desire in my heart.
Every year since I’ve held a positive thought of not only being there, but speaking and teaching even though I’m not a minister. And now Rev. Dale would suggest that I present my material. Whoa.
An important thing to know about me is that I have a core belief that what is for me, will not pass me by. God is my source and always opens the way I'm supposed to go.
After a few days, my phone rings. When I answer, Rev. Dale says, “Are you sitting down?! I want to make sure you’re sitting down.” I confirmed that I was sitting down and I put him on speaker.
He continued on and told us that the board loved Josh and I’s work and they asked us to team up on a double Keynote presentation in the prime time spot! Josh will teach how to go from Lack to in the Black with impactful online outreach, and I’ll teach my Aaaaah Method. This is the first time non-Unity ministers have presented at this conference... EVER.
And instead of contacting each spiritual center to introduce myself as a guest speaker — Josh and I will both be presenting the fullness of our work to ALL of the Unity ministers in the Mid-Atlantic region at. one. time.
This was even better than what I was dreaming of, I couldn’t have imagined this for myself and my family!
We’ll do our thang and get to sell some merch. From copies of my new book, Aaaaah — Miracles, our son Julian’s book and swag, and my organic heal-everything balm. All while camping in a spectacular location in our newly restored vintage Airstream, Lovie.
We’ll camp here for a week, part work part play. Then we’ll make our way to our next surreal retreat location in Elkin for Miracle Lab's Restless to Renewed Retreat. And if you're thinking, "Dang, Jules, I want to go." I say: "Meet me there!"
This is all a testimony to the TRUTH that our desires are just the beginning of what God wills for us.
No matter what’s happening in your life, I believe things are going to work out in your favor. The more you lean into the positive belief that the universe is working for you, the better you feel.
There are many times when I don’t understand the higher plan, but we’re not always being called to understand... But we are always being called to have faith.
Affirmation: I am holding on to faith, not fear
At the start of 2024, our family set an intention to travel more and we’re holding on to faith every step of the way. From working hard on renovating our Airstream camper to our farmhouse in Georgia, the Hopeful House, which we JUST listed on AirBnB.
We live on 25 acres in a tiny, tranquil town called Hopeful. It's so small that don't have a post office and get linked to the neighboring city of Camilla. It's really peaceful here. The nature watching and stargazing are out of this world. Since our house can easily sleep over 10+ people and I have a zipline, our next retreat may have to be at my house! I'll be in my camper.
Thank you for being with me for today's story time and for being a part of my journey, it’s a pleasure and an honor to share my life with you.
Love always,
Jules
